Saturday 2nd May 2015 saw Dramnation present a World Whisky Flight to a full house at the Dan Murphy’s Castle Hill Store. Presented in a fashion similar to Dramnation’s Hills Whisky Appreciations Course, the crowd was treated to a sit down event at tables filled to the brim with whiskies, snacks and sensory plates.
Whiskies on tasting saw representation from 6 countries to, not only give a feel of what styles of whiskies come from these regions, but also new and unique methods outside the traditional Scottish methods we are so use to. The whiskies showcased were:
Although all the whiskies tasted displayed appreciated virtues by the crowd, the big favourites for the day were the Teeling Single Grain, Amrut fusion, and clear winner the Hakushu 12yo.
Concluding the event all attendees received their take-home Glencairn Whisky Glass in appreciation.
