Foraging Experience with Dramnation and Cocktail Co.

As part of Good Food Month, what's not better than going to the beach in the perfect Sydney weather? We have returned to nature with Cocktail Co and Dramnation for an educational and fun experience in Manly.
Firstly, we arrived Curl Curl Beach in Manly for a foraging workshop led by Diego Bonetto, a passionate expert forager. Diego taught us the basics of foraging our natural earth and even our front yard that we walk pass everyday.
At the beach, we found a few of the our familiar herbs and spices on the ground, and by the sea. The most memorable and flavourful one must to go these little yellow flowers, which is surprisingly the delicate fennel flowers. After the lesson, we have learned how to treasure what our earth has given us.
With just 7 mins private bus ride, we have then arrived the Sydney's newest distillery, Manly Spirits Co. Distillery, to find out how they put foraged botanicals from the local area to good use in making some of the finest spirits around before we taste their delicious Gin and Vodka.
Finally we end up in a renown brewery in Manly, 4 Pines Beer, to explore the similarities in the process of beer and spirits making. This is truly a sea to still experience like no other!
We learn what goes into our stomach from experienced presenters and expert forager, and we also get to make some new friends over a few drinks bantering with other like-minded drinkers.
